The exploitation of nature has reached maximum level. We are not considering its impact . Therefore there is EL Nino , Sunami , cyclone , floods and massive destruction. We have indiscriminately used nature and now it is showing its effect. There is a need of judicious use of nature so that we can keep future generations to use nature. The concept of green HR has also gained tremendous interest in companies and employees in the organization under this situation. Organizations also have started to think and practice so that they can economically use its resources and make employees aware. Employees practice at office will encourage to practice at private life. Green human resources management procedures are fundamentally to reduce carbon footprint impression of each worker in the organization and create a positive attitudes towards environmental and social aspects. It is actually integration of environmental factors with HRM. HR policies and practices play here a broader agenda . Human Resource people is to take initiative to develop green HR culture where they will implement green recruitment, training & development, compensation and environment friendly work culture, paperless office , wastage disposal and recycling, paperless performance appraisal and green building concepts . HR should evaluate the existing systems and work culture and design practices which will encourage both management and employees to adopt green culture. However, the changing focus from traditional work culture to green work culture in the organization is a new challenge to HR. Green HR practices is a new concept in India. However, in near future HR will not be able to deny their role in developing green HR practices in the organization. It is actually making a work culture where employees will align their activities focusing its effect on nature.
