Employee experience means total experience of an employee during job journey. It starts on joining and ends till exit from the organization. Employee’s positive journey gives positive feedback in the market and it attracts new one to apply and join in the organization. Its goal is to determine areas of improvement and opportunities so that employer can retain and attract employees in the organization. HR should design systems and process in such a way that employee’s journey becomes smooth and carries one positive outlook about the organization. It is summing total evaluation of an employee about the organization. HR should first visualize experience from hiring to exit of an employee and evaluate existing systems and process and will check employees view about it. Then HR should focus area of improvement. One employee during working period interacts many people in the workplace, follows systems and process and evaluates it. All these interactions create one impression about the organization and generates positive or negative view about the company and about its total culture. HR and management should review the systems and process, employee evaluation systems, training & learning opportunities, working hours, retrial benefits succession planning, compensation and benefits plan and exit systems etc. periodically and bring one revised plan and possibility of changes. It is both transactional and transformation changes in HR systems to give a new look and experience to employees. Analyzing employee journey and taking corrective actions are positive steps. It increases employee satisfaction; employee turnover reduces and engagement of employees grow. The time has come for employer to understand employees’ needs and aspirations and to make the whole journey clear and transparent and create conducive work atmosphere. And no company should keep it neglected. Positive employee journey creates brand value in the market and employer can attract people in the organization. Employees feel that they are valued and company is employee friendly.
